Foreign affairs Minister’s nefarious affairs irritate Diplomats

(December 15, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Foreign affairs Minister Bogollagama who has already been facing a series of scathing accusations leveled against him of making the Ministry a family affair appointing his kith and kin , and of extravagant tours at State expense has once again been accused of ‘infiltration of foreign service cadre by outsiders’.

The Sri Lanka Foreign service Association (SLFSA) , a strong 150 member strong body has demanded that established guidelines be adhered to when making diplomatic and non diplomatic appointments. The Association which asked for an appointment for a meeting with the President over a month ago, finally was granted for today (15 Dec). - Sri Lanka Guardian
