Thirty More Lorries with Essentials Enter Vanni

(November 10, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) A WFP (World Food Programme) food convoy left Omanthe for Kilinochchi and Mullattivu un-cleared areas around 11.30 a.m. today (10). Thirty nine (39) lorries and six light vehicles loaded with rice, sugar, flour, dhal, vegetable oil and stocks of medicine left via Omanthei Entry/Exit point.

Stocks of food and medicine will be delivered to civil administrative authorities to be distributed among civilians.

The consignment contained 231 mt of rice, 72 mt of dhal, 244 mt of flour, 12 mt of sugar, 17 mt of maize 12 mt of vegetable oil. - Sri Lanka Guardian
