Obama is going to the white house as the first African-American president of United States of America. Americans have elected Obama beyond racial barriers. The voter turnout is the best of in a century in the US history. Americans have made the dreams of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King come true. The so called Yankee America’s people have made those who named them white racist to put down their heads. It is also an eye opening to many nations and world governmental leaders. It is a message of change against racism and communalism. Obama in his acceptance speech had said that America would not be a collection of people but a real United States of America in true sense. The long suffering Tamil speaking people of this country look at the American change with hope. The hope that would facilitate a change from war to peace and depression to happiness for all the Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim people of Sri Lanka.
