"Four Muslim Arms Groups Activating in the East"
(November 10, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Jathika Sangha Sammelanaya (JSS), the front movement of the Jathika Hela Urumaya held a press conference yesterday (Sunday 9th) has urged the Government to probe the activities of Muslim extremists like Mujibur Rahman who are now agitating against Sinhala Buddhists but maintained a deafening silence when the LTTE terrorists were chasing away Muslims from Jaffna, slaughtering them in Kalmunai, seizing their lands in the East and killing Mutur residents in 2006.
While addressing the press Ven. Missaka Kamalasiri Thero, the JSS International Affairs Secretary said that anybody is free to express views against the Mahawamsa or that there were ancestors of Muslims before the Sinhalas arrived but no group had the right to intimidate people and force them to accept their views. The JSS has challenged Muslims who says that Mahawansa is lie to prove their argument.
According to the report carried by SinhalaNet , the pro JHU online journal, “ Malik Group, Osama Group, Deen Malik Group and Mujahideen Group are some of the Muslim terrorist groups operating in Maligawatte and the Eastern Province. They should be disarmed forthwith, Ven.Missaka Kamalasiri Thero has stressed.”
Ven.Missaka Kamalasiri Thero says that these extremists have no popular support and their attempt to declare a separate state through the Oluvil Declaration in the Eastern University on January 29 failed.
Previously Muslim separatism failed due to the efforts of moderate Muslim Leaders like Sir Razik Fareed and Dr, Kaleel, according to the JSS.
