(November 06, Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) A Chennai court today directed the release of MDMK chief Vaiko and party's presidium Chairman M Kannappan, who were arrested on charges of sedition on 23 October.
The order came after the Tamilnadu government's submission that the investigation was over and there was no need for further remand of the two.
Vaiko and Kannappan, who appeared in court, also sought release on the grounds that the investigation was over.
The seventh Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, K Ravi directed both to appear in court whenever summoned. - Sri Lanka Guardian
