(October 17, Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) president Thol Thirumavalavan has said his party will hold a rail-roko all over Tamilnadu on 23 October to condemn the Sri Lankan government for its alleged atrocities against Tamils.In a statement here yesterday, he said activists of the party ‘will not allow any trains to move on 23 October’ expressing support to steps taken by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and others to find a solution to the issue.
He also called his party workers to take part in large numbers in the human chain to be held in Chennai on 21 October urging the Union government to interfere in the Lankan issue. - Sri Lanka Guardian
