(October 21, Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) The DMK announced postponement of its human chain protest, scheduled at Chennai on Tuesday to urge the Centre to prevail upon Sri Lanka to end the sufferings of Tamils in the island nation.
The human chain, which was to stretch from Chennai to its suburbs, was postponed today following heavy rains, DMK sources said.
The human chain agitation would now be held on October 24, they said. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government today announced holiday for schools and colleges across the state as rains have been lashing the state for the past few days. - Sri Lanka Guardian
