Four TMVP caders killed, 5 missing after LTTE attack in Batti

(October 28, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardain) Four TMVP were killed and five others were reported missing after suspected LTTE cadres attacked a TMVP office near Black Bridge in Chenkaladi in Batticaloa early hours today.

The LTTE men had got away after the attack. Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.

Meanwhile, Three STF personnel were injured in a handgrenade attack close to the Kalady bridge in Batticaloa around 8.00 p.m. yesterday, Police said.Two persons who had come on a motorcycle had flung the grenade and escaped. - Sri Lanka Guardian
