The evidences in Europe in relation to the killing of the Chief incumbent of the Thirukoneswarar Temple.
(October 05, Paris, Sri Lanka Guardian) J.Jenny’s recent article “Murdered Hindu priest and Buddhist hegemony” in the Sri Lankan Guardian blamed the Sri Lankan armed forces for the killing of the Chief incumbent , Sivasiri Sivakugarajah
Following this article a Tamil website “Vizhippu.net” came out with another story of the incident and blamed the LTTTE for the killing. It also advised the writer of the article to pass her evidence to the relevant authorities. The English translation of the article is as follows:-
“ Sivasiri Sivakugarajha Kurukkal was killed by the LTTE at Trincomalee Vidyalaya Road on the 21st of last month at about 6.30 p.m. When contacted the eye witnesses for further information it was confirmed to us by them that the murder had been carried out by group headed by Pirabakaran. This is also confirmed by the police who conducted investigation in relation to this matter. In the meantime, Jenny of France claimed in her article and in her the TBC that she has evidence and photographs relating to the murder , to confirm that this killing had been committed by the government Security Forces. She confirmed her view in an article and in a discussion that took place in the Tamil Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) , London. We consider that her assertion will help to bring the culprits before justice.
In this context, we have forwarded relevant information to the Sri Lankan Intelligence Services, Chief Police Inspector, Trincomalee and the High court Judge, Ilancheliyan. Our intention is not to betray or intimidate anyone but to assert our view that the forces that should protect the country and its citizens should not embark on anarchical actions. Therefore, we consider that Jenny can at least help the bereaved family of the killed, to get compensation by providing her evidence and documents to the Criminal Investigation department in Colombo. - Sri Lanka Guardian
