(October 17, Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa has commended the role played by her party cadre in opposing Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, who has betrayed the rights of the people in the State.
In a statement here on Thursday the former Chief Minister said, ‘Karunanidhi is selfish about his post. He has created history by not working for people of Tamilnadu, but for his family.
‘People of Tamilnadu are suffering due to price rise. Added to their woes is the frequent power cut in the State. People from all sections of society are suffering due to frequent power cut, she added.
‘The State government headed by Karunanidhi is disorganised. The government is not able to implement any scheme successfully. He will immediately go to New Delhi seeking plum posts, but when it comes to dealing with the problems affecting the people of Tamilnadu, ‘ she said.
Moreover, she said the Chief Minister was fooling the people by saying that he has written a letter to the Prime Minister and urged the people to send telegrams to him on the Lankan issue. - Sri Lanka Guardian
