(September 10, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The senior directing staff and the students of the National Defence College India visited Ministry of Defence today. Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa briefed the delegation about the present security situation of the country and situation of the conflict. Also, he reiterated about the importance of Sri Lanka in the South Asian region and in the regional thinking. The delegation was consisted with the officers belonging to armed services, police, and foreign services from the South Asian countries and outside, including Bangladesh, Nepal and Israel.
Finally, Defence Secretary thanked the delegation for visiting the country and strengthening the bilateral relations.
