President Wijetunga's funeral on Thursday

(September 21, Kandy, Sri Lanka Guardian) The cremation of former President D.B.Wijetunga who passed away today morning will take place on September 25, Thursday at the Getambe public playgrounds.

Mr. Wijetunga's remains will be placed in Parliament on September 25 and would be taken to directrly to Getambe for the cremation which takes place in the evening.

The funeral committee said that until 25th the body will remain at his Pilimathalawa residence. -Sri Lanka Guardian
