(September 26, Toronto, Sri Lanka Guardian) Canada one the World best democracy has declared federal elections and the Leaders of all Political parties are participating in election campaigns. As everyone knows Canada is a front-runner on war against Terrorism, there are certain security concern arises for our National leaders who are on election campaign and particularly the leaders who are pioneers in advocating freedom and democracy and in particular who muscle against Terrorist outfits in Canada.

During the election campaign Prime Minister Stephan Harper is visiting almost every part of Canada and he has visited couple of times to Ontario and in particular to G.T.A. Even Stockwell Day Minister of Public Safety visited Toronto before a week elections were declared. These two figures are of very important personalities who have a direct threat from Terrorist outfits for the simple reason they banned Terrorist organizations and crushed their activities, movements, forceful money collections, unlawful activities, money laundering and their terror networks. These actions made Canada a peaceful Country and out of Terrorist threat.

This action by Mr. Stephan Harper was welcomed by all sections of our society and Canada wide. Due to this bold action taken by the Conservative Government of Canada, there were neither train bombings that happened in Canada like the ones happened in Madrid-Spain or like the one happened in neither London nor bombings in India, Srilanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan. When compared Canada relatively seems to be one of the peaceful countries to live, which everyone agrees. All the merits go to Stephan Harper and his Conservative Government, which took bold decisions and implemented it.

India, one of the biggest democracy in the world and its late leader Shri. Rajeev Gandhi has taken similar steps in India to curb Terrorism from his soil. He was brutally assassinated by the world most Terrorist outfit The Liberation Tigers of the Tamil Eelam (L.T.T.E) that consider him as a powerful enemy, when he was on election campaign. L.T.T.T has a long history of assassinating political leaders who are oppose to its terrorist activities from Mr. Alfred Duraiappa, mayor of Jaffna, Mr. A. Amirthalingam-Leader of Opposition in Srilankan Parliament and Leader of TULF, Hon. R. Premadasa-President of Srilanka, Rajeev Gandhi, Ex. P.M of India, Dr.Neelan Thruchelvam-Constitutional Expert, Laxman Kathirkamar-Min of Foreign Affairs, Govt of Srlanka, Mr.Kathesh Loganathan- Sect Peace Secretariat, Srilanka and many more Ministers, Members of Parliament and Prominent people. L.T.T.T has brutally killed large number of its own Tamil leaders.

Here in Canada, though L.T.T.E is a banned organization, some of its hard-core members are still living in underground and operates as a silent cell. They are the most dangerous people whom consider killing as their duty towards their community and by doing so; they become martyrs and believe their names will be remembered forever within the community.

Therefore we request to our Security and Intelligence Agencies to provide the maximum security to the Prime Minister Stephan Harper and Stockwell Day, Minister of Public safety, and to other prominent leaders of all political parties who are on their political campaign aggressively,
To avoid any unwanted things that might happen.

Let us not Repeat the same mistakes again.
