It reminds me of September 11 – Beware O’ Canada

While the Canadian Srilankans celebrating their Srilankan Day at Harbor front
(September 24, Toronto, Sri Lanka Guardian) Centre, there were some Srilankan Tamil Tigers holding placards against the Government of Srilankan outside the venue Hall. As an ordinary Citizen of this Country I have no objection to oppose anyone who wants to protest in a peaceful manner. Indeed every one has their rights to support or oppose what they feel right and wrong. But the question that arises here is, if Srilankan Day can be protested by a group of Terrorist, can this same Thugs can also protest against Canada Day too opposing their Ban by Candian Government? In such case, is there are existing laws in Canada to ban any protest which
Degrade a National Day Celebrations or which promotes community tensions. Not many.
Knows that there are Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims, Malays and Burgers are living in Canada as brothers and Sisters whom are trying to heal the wounds that have been created by LTTE and our mere politicians. By such events, the gap between these communities is becoming smaller and very much smaller these days. If there were ways to promote multi culturism in this Country, the only way for that is to bring communities together to understand each other and to promote friendship through art and music.
This is for the government of Canada to do, but the Organizers have done what the Government of Canada should be doing. In fact it’s a great duty to the Country they live in. As the whole world knows, Terrorism flourish were there are conflicts. Conflicts arise where there is misunderstanding between communities. The Organizers of the Srilankan
Day were great souls who tirelessly worked for months and brought the entire Srilankan
Community who were living in mistrust for years in Srilanka and brought the same mistrust to Canadian soil which have been promoted and fueled by LTTE for their own survival. The manner the Tigers behaved is very questionable and the laws that allowed them to protest really to be opposed by all Canadians. If peace and harmony should be established within communities living in Canadian Soil, should Terrorist Organizations be allowed to protest a community event? Then where is multi culturism in Canada? If the community event organizers repulse the same way to LTTE events then what will happen? Will the law protects them, because protesting is also their right too?
The most important aspect of the event is, there was a small Aircraft flying above the event Centre bearing a banner saying “Srilanka Stop Killing Tamils!” Is the LTTE threatening the Sinhala and moderate Tamils who are coming together in this soil? Are is it showing its might to the Canadian Government, that it can also blast any tower as the AlQeda did to United States? Even the U.S never took any action until something very serious happen to them. So beware. It reminds me of September 11, when I saw the small Aircraft flying above my head. Will the Government of Canada awake from sleep? - Sri Lanka Guardian
