(September 04, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) President called on the nation to leave petty differences behind them and contribute to the battle of uniting the country.
President made these observations at the swearing in ceremony of newly elected members of Sabaragamuwa and North Central Provincial Councils held at the Presidential Secretariat today.
Maithreepala Herath and Berty Premalal Dissanayake have been sworn in as Chief Ministers of the Sabaragamuwa and North Central Provincial Councils respectively.
President assured to set up the ninth Provincial Council soon in North and commended the service rendered by the security forces to liberate the country from the clutches of the terrorists.
