Over 50 per cent victories in all electorates for UPFA so far

UPFA furthers extends lead, Nivithigala and Pelmadulla also won

The UPFA extended its majority by winning the Nivithigala and Pelmadulla electorates.

In Nivithigala UPFA obtained 31,333 (56.99) votes while the UNP secured 21,916( 39.86) votes followed by the CWC 681 ( 1.24) votes and the JVP 645 (1.17 ) votes.

In Pelmadulla the UPFA obtained 25,030 (50.50) votes while the UNP got 21,695 (43.77) votes followed by the CWC 1,253 (2.53), the UP-COUNTRY PEOPLE'S FRONT 596 (1.20 ) and the JVP ( 592 1.19).

UPFA takes Mihintale by 5,438 votes

The Mihintala electorate was secured by a 5,438 majority by the UPFA in the Anuradhapura district.

The UPFA obtained 18,633 (53.50) votes followed by UNP 13,195 (37.88) votes and the JVP 2,397 (6.88) votes.

Anuradhapura West for UPFA by 5,411 votes

The Anuradhapura West electorate was won by the UPFA by a comfotable majority of 5,411 votes.

The UPFA obtained 27,690 (52.45) against UNP's 22,279 (42.20) votes and the JVP's 2,312 ( 4.38) votes.

6,329 majority for UPFA in Horowpathana

The votes received by the main parties are; UPFA 22,532 (53.73) votes, UNP 16,203 (38.64) votes and the JVP 2,203 ( 5.25) votes.

Eheliyagoda for UPFA with 6,889 majority

The Eheliyagoda electorate of the Ratnapura distict was won by the UPFA by a majority of 6,889 votes

Kekirawa UPFA wins with smaller majority

The Kekirawa electorate was won by the UPFA by a close majority against the UNP.

The results of the main parteis are as follows; UPFA 21,700 (50.08) votes, UNP 19,538 (45.09) and the JVP 1,649 (3.81 ) votes.

Dedigama, Ruwanwella Galigamuwa, Yatiyantota and Deraniyagala for UPFA

The Dedigama, Galigamuwa and Deraniyagala electorates also were won by the UPFA with convincing majorities.

The results of the main parties follows:

Dedigama: UPFA 28,797 (55.03), UNP 21,587 (41.25) and JVP 1,443 (2.76)

Galigamuwa:

UPFA 22,741 (57.61), UNP 15,381 (38.96) and JVP 1,060 (2. 69)

Deraniyagala: UPFA 18,659 (51.81), UNP 14,931 (41.46), CWC 1,279 (3.55) JVP 925 (2.57).

Yatiyantota: UPFA - 22,731 ( 52.06) votes, UNP- 19,239 (44.06), CWC 913 (2.09) and JVP - 546 (1.25).

Ruwanwella: UPFA- 23,102 (52.99), UNP 18,808 (43.14) and JVP 1,051 2.41
