Forty displaced schools from Vavuniya north education zone

(August 30, Kilionchchi, Sri Lanka Guardian) The fate of the forty schools displaced from the Vavuniya north education zone was discussed in Kilinochchi at a meeting of the education officers and principals from this zone.

The displaced students from these forty schools are scattered and many are attending various schools in Kilinochchi causing severe resource shortage in these non-displaced schools.

The meeting decided to collect the data on the students from Vavuniya north education zone and operate the original schools in the Kilinochchi education zone. Committees were setup to collect the data as the initial step to implement this decision. - Sri Lanka Guardian
