(August 24, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The 4th National Conference on Buddhist Studies will be held on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, 31 at the All Ceylon Buddhist Women's Congress, No. 400, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7.
The Conference is organised by the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka in association with the Buddhist Times Trust and Bodu Sahana Aramudala. Thirty research papers relating to a variety of disciplines will be presented in both English and Sinhala.
The inaugural address will be delivered by Professor Emeritus Y. Karunadasa, currently Visiting Professor in Buddhist Studies, University of Hong Kong on "The Buddhist Psychology of Ideologies". The guest of honour is Professor Emeritus N.A. Jayawickrema. Members of the public are invited to attend.
