July, 01, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian: The decorations for the National Freedom Front (NFF) rally led by former JVP Mp Wimal Weerawansa held at Nugegoda today had been carried out by a group of foreigners who had been staying in Sri Lanka without visa say sources.
According to these sources they were nationals of Thailand, Maldives and Malaysia. They had been arrested and detained at Mirihana police and had been deployed to do decorations for the rally on a directive from a government strongman.
As there hadn't been a sufficient crowd for the rally the foreigners who had been deployed to do decorations had been taken back to the place where the rally was held say these sources - Sri Lanka Guardian
