Sethu project: CM vows again

(July 04, Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on Friday reiterated that they (he and his partymen) were ready to face any hurdle to implement the Sethu Samudhiram project.

Presiding over the wedding of Union Minister T R Baalu’s brother Sakthivel’s son Karthik here, Karunanidhi said in spite of several failures and obstacles, we are keen to implement the Sethu Samudhiram project.

‘Those who campaigned for the project and resolved to implement it in the past have started to air their opposition today. Those who expressed their desire for the successful implementation of SSCP have put stumbling blocks for the same now’.

Heaping laurels on Baalu, Karunanidhi said, ‘he hails from an ordinary middle class family in Thanjavur. Thanks to his hard work, he has rose to become the Union Minister and render yeomen service. Sethu Samudhiram should emerge successful like Baalu.’
