(July 28, Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) MDMK general secretary Vaiko today said the Centre is responsible for the attacks on Tamils in Sri Lanka. Speaking to reporters at the airport here after he arrived from Madurai, the MDMK chief said the island government was continuing with its genocide of innocent Tamils violating human rights.
‘When United Nation’s Human Rights Commission wanted to set up an office in Tamil’s area, the Lankan government did not give its approval,’ he said.
Alleging that the Indian government was supplying arms and other equipment to Sri Lanka, Vaiko said the Centre and the Prime Minister were responsible for the attacks made on Tamil. ‘Even parties like the DMK, which is a part of the UPA government have a share in this,’ he said. - Sri Lanka Guardian
