“Ranil Wickremasinghe said that there should be democracy for the war to succeed. "If you don't have democracy, you will lose the war", he said.He stressed the government cannot resort to it by saying that "Tigers" are doing it. "You cannot go on that basis," he added.”

(July 11, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) It has been stressed consistently that resolution of the nation's ethnic problem should be found in a peaceful manner but no one responds to this request favourably. Tit for tat attacks and unrealistic preconditions have shattered the hopes for peace and there are war clouds hovering over the Country. The war continues and normalcy is crippled. People have to face difficulties and the economy is badly affected.
Meanwhile, Martin Mcguinness, Former IRA fighter and Deputy First Minister in a power - sharing devolved government in Northern Ireland, says "the resolution of the conflict in Sri Lanka can only happen at the negotiating table and nowhere else."
"Both the government and the Tamil Tigers believe they can have more victories over each other possibly in advance of peace negotiations. I have to say. I think both the government and the Tamil Tigers are foolish, if they believe that".
The war intensity is rather high. The killings are increasing every day. People wonder whether democracy exists in the island. People have to live in fear and anxiety.

Ranil has no right to talk about democracy after runing death camps during JVP uprisings and who cares of what all these white tigers have to say.
Tell it to the LTTE, Ranil. Have a bit of spine. It has waged war witout any democracy. (LTTE has killed more democratic tamils than everybody else combined) .. Moreover, it killed almost all democratic, able leaders in the tamil community with the help of pathetic leadres like Ranil. What right he has, to talk about democracy when he has signed the CFA (which gave right to LTTE to eliminate all democratic tamil/sinhalese leadres) without even showing it to the president of the country, let alone the parliment or the public? Look at you Ranil .. You donot even conduct democratically inside your own party. If so, you have already be in the history for taking the once proud party (UNP) to the dogs.
It is really funny that all of a sudden there are so many so called experts has come out from everywhere in the world to say to us the negotiation is the only way to resolve the terrorism.
Firstly, why don't they tell it to Americans and British to negotiate at least once with the so called terrorists they have started to fight. Secondly, where were all these people over the last 30 years when Psychopath Praba and his goons were killing innocent people and playing havoc in the country with the help of traitors like Ranil, Kumar, Gihan & co? Why didn't they say that to LTTE goons that over the years?
Thirdly, is LTTE the sole representative of the Sri Lankan Tamils, if so where are the evidence?
Fouthly, how can anyone negotiaite anything when the other party abondon it half way through for unknown and unbelievable demands?
Fifthly, what are the grieviences of Tamil people that is not common to other races in Sri Lanka?
So, ignore all these experts who wants to advice us when the LTTE is losing.
Good luck and Thank you President, Defence Secretary and most of all Our Gallant Army, Navy, AirForce, and Police Heroes for saving the country from this Psychopath dictator Prabha.
We must thanks President Gotabaya Sarath fonseka and other commanders to save the our country from wild animals like PRABAHARN & idiotik RANIL WIKRAMASIGHA
