(July 15, Peshawar, Sri Lanka Guardian) Frustrated in coping with the Islamic insurgency on global and regional level, facing unexpected implications due to their own self-created blunders, some US-led western allies of war on terror have added a new dimension to their vile propaganda campaign against Pakistan by saying that white Muslims of the west are being trained by Al Qaeda in the training camps located in Pakistan's tribal areas from where they could conduct terrorist attacks inside America and Europe.
In this respect, a report of American ABC News TV, while quoting US intelligence sources on June 21 this year allegedly said that dozens of white Europeans are "trained in camps in Pakistan's tribal regions" and "dispatched back to plan attacks against Europe and the United States". Mike McConnell, the director of the US National Intelligence also disclosed, "Western recruits are more difficult to detect and can easily enter Europe and the US" and "they are blend in with our culture".

It is of particular attention that before the invasion of Iraq in 2003, America and some of its allies had started a deliberate propaganda campaign that Saddam Hussein-led regime had Weapons of Mass Destructions (WMDs) and was posing a threat to the US and Europe. Afterwards, Iraq was invaded under that pretension, but no such weapons were found till today. At present, acting upon the Iraq-like pre-planned strategy, US wants to attack the FATA areas owing to the fact that Pakistan is the only Islamic nuclear country, irking the eyes of 'nuclearized' Washington, India and Israel who are exaggerating through western thinktanks and media that safety of the atomic weapons is doubtful as these can go in the hands of Al Qaeda operatives who are likely to use them inside America and Europe.
The sole aim behind is to convince Washington to invade Pakistan's tribal areas. In this context, we should not ignore the double standard of the US-led allies since September 11, drastically affecting all the Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Kashmir, Somalia, Nigeria, Uzbekistan etc., where attack on the US forces or its supported official installations have become every day occurrence.
But despite stiff resistance of the Islamic activists there, America feels no danger because these states do not have any atomic weapons. For example, in response to US-assisted state terrorism, rocket attacks against Israelis by the Palestinian Hamas continue, but Americans and its major allies of war on terror have not seen any white terrorist's training camps in Palestine. Question also arises that in Iraq, assaults on the Anglo-American occupying forces by the freedom fighters keep on going and still the former do not witness any such camps of the white faces there. As regards Iran, Americans are making strenuous efforts to stop Tehran's nuclear programme, but they do not propagate that terrorist's training camps of the western nationals are found there because it has not yet prepared atomic devices.
Same is applicable to Syria in one way or the other. So far as the case of Pakistan is concerned, it is a declared atomic power, therefore, US and its allies are acting upon a deliberate strategy, coupled with a propaganda campaign to distort the image of Islamabad in the comity of nations, setting the stage conducive to disintegrate or otherwise destabilize this country, even by a full-fledged air strikes in FATA. Whenever suspected persons or terrorists of even western nationals are arrested in America and European countries, their connections are maintained with Pakistan's Frontier Province. For instance, two native Germans were arrested in September 2007 with a suspicion to kill the US soldiers in Germany and American intelligence sources indicated while investigating, "if they were trained in Pakistan tribal areas".
In the same way, the 7/7 suicide events of London were attributed to two Pakistanis, having UK nationality who had visited Pakistan's tribal regions as the British officials had revealed. In reply, Islamabad had made it clear that those persons were British citizens, belonging to third generation and were nurtured in western culture. However, same goes to other white Muslim citizens, living either in the US or Europe. And Pakistan cannot be held responsible for their acts of commission or omission as they belong to their own races. As regards acceptance of Islam or any other religion, this practice is common in the world. Peoples of various religious communities have entered the faith of the other ones. So again, it is not fault of Islamabad which has become special target of the western media since 9/11. Now America, India and Afghanistan are trying to convert Iraq-like situation in Pakistan in one way or the other as the latter has refused to compromise its atomic programme like North Korea. It is noteworthy that a few months before leaving his post, the former Secretary-General of the UN, Kofi Annan had said that "central gravity of terrorism has shifted from Afghanistan to Iraq".
Unlikely, US-led western states have been making hues and cries that it has shifted from Iraq to Afghanistan. But surprisingly, they have been particularly focusing Pakistan's tribal areas as safe-havens where they believe Osama Bin Laden and Mullah Ummer have taken shelter to train insurgents and attack inside Afghanistan. In fact, demoralized in crushing the tough insurgency especially of the Taliban in Afghanistan where US-led NATO forces, equipped with sophisticated weaponry have badly failed, a new allegation that white nationals are being trained in the camps of Pak tribal areas is essential to achieve some sinister collective designs through CIA, RAW, Khad and Mossad. Besides, US wants to keep the NATO members united for a prolonged war in Afghanistan because some countries like Australia, Italy and Canada are reluctant to maintain their troops in that country for a long time in wake of growing casualties and insecurity. Particularly, recent developments against Pakistan like President Hamid Karzai's threat of chasing militants in Pakistani territories, Indian shelling inside Azad Kahmir to increase pressure, bomblasts in Islamabad, Karachi, Swat etc., US hostility to FATA peace talks, NATO's intermittent air strikes without bothering for any internal backlash in our country and new assumption that white citizens are being trained in tribal regions show future nefarious designs of the external elements against the federation of Pakistan. It is because of a plot against Pakistan that on June 29, 2008, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani surprisingly stated that there were "several enemies of the country" and "foreign hands were also involved in the acts of terrorism".
In this connection, RAW has become pro-active as more than 50 Indian foreign offices, clandestinely established along with the north-western border of Pakistan, are supporting the militant activists in our country. While, in Afghanistan Indian intelligence agencies and army personnel have been training saboteurs who are being sent to Pakistan to conduct bomblasts. There are also a number of terrorist's camps in Afghanistan set up covertly by New Delhi and Kabul, where white Muslim citizens are being provided with subversive skill to attack inside the US and Europe with to tarnish the image of Pakistan. Now, strained situation between Islamabad and Washington could better be gauged from three US congressmen who recently visited Pakistan and told the US Houston 'Chronicle' on July 9, 2008 that American "commandos are ready to stage raids into Pakistan's tribal areas to stem mounting Taliban attacks against US troops in Afghanistan and to disrupt Al Qaeda training camps before they target America due to the failure of Islamabad". They also admitted that Pakistani officials have rejected their suggestion of joint US-Pakistani operations in the FATA areas.
It is most important to point out that Washington Post on June 24, 2008 quoted Charles R. Black Jr., the top adviser of the Republican nominee for the American presidential elections, indicating that a fresh terrorist attack inside the US "certainly would be a big political advantage to McCain." McCain has already been criticized for surrounding himself with top advisers who are lobbyists, working for the interests of foreign governments. So Jews and Hindus could train the white citizens in the training camps of Afghanistan to conduct another 9/11 type catastrophe in the United States and to manipulate the same against Pakistan.
