(July 28, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Berty Premalal Dissanayake , the Chief Ministerial candidate of the UFPA for the upcoming North Central Provincial Council (NCPC) who is an absolute and abysmal failure when it comes to serving his electorate while he was Chief Minister –not even able to build ponds for the people under the ponds project costing (wasting !) Rs. 100 million , has proved himself as an absolute success when it comes to serving himself !- he is constructing a luxury tourist Hotel on a 13 acre land at Kalawewa – mind you , this land is not his ;it is crown land.
The ponds he built to store water to tide over the drought for the electorate, are ever dry and never full, unlike Berty Premalal’s private coffers which are always full and never empty, with NCPC funds cascading into his coffers.
Hence, is it any wonder why he is attaching a strict veil of secrecy to his Hotel project constructed under every circumstance of suspicion and fraudulence?
It is also reported that Berty Premalalal who indulges in sordid and squalid activities like a duck takes to water, is using State vehicles and public property flouting election laws openly and brazenly in the election campaign using bogus vehicle number plates.
