(July 06, Batticaloa, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Puligal (TMVP) last week nominated Shiva Geetha Prabhakaran, the Mayor of the Batticaloa Municipal Council, and their Media Spokesman Azad Maulana as their representatives to the All Party Representative Committee (APRC).
Professor Tissa Vitarana, chairman of the APRC stated that this nomination enables the APRC to resume its activities which had been deadlocked in the past, and move faster towards a lasting solution which would be acceptable to all stakeholders
