Anandasangaree celebrates his 75th birthday in London

(July 14, London, Sri Lanka Guardain) The veteran leader of the Tamil United Liberation Front Mr Veerasingam Anandasandaree celebrated his 75th birthday at the Community House, 311 Fore Street, Edmonton in London yesterday (12 July 2008).

About 150 specially invited guests attended the function. The grand function was well organised and prominent members of the Tamil and Muslim communities praised the fifty years of hard work of Mr Anandasangaree as a politician.

A specially made birthday cake was a beautiful rising sun of the TULF logo. The birthday celebrity in his concluding speech upheld that he will be working more vigorously to bring democracy and justice for the Tamil people in Sri Lanka. He also remembered the TULF leaders murdered by the LTTE in his speach.

Amidst tumultuous party poppers cracking noise fired by the children and happy birthday song sung by those present Mr Anandasangaree cut the Rising Star cake.

Well prepared traditional Tamil meal was served. The celebration went on from 7.00pm to 11.00pm
