(June 03, Jaffna, Sri Lanka Guardian) The letter below is being circulated widely by the Rev Annappa Jeyakumar generally regarded as the second in command under Father Sellathurai Jeyanesan of the Church of the American Ceylon Mission.
Will he also tell the public as to who met him at arrival in Colombo and safely took him to Jaffna and organized his surrender to the District Judge of Jaffna?
The moment Father Jeyanesan surrendered to the District Judge, the purpose of the arrest warrant achieved completion. But it did not mean he could walk out freely, an impression the letter of the Rev Jeyakumar gives the public, no doubt a deception to give a false impression and as if God himself had interceded.
Why has he not stated that Father Jeyanesan was freed on a bail of Rs.50,000 and a surety bond guaranteed by the Rev Annappa Jeyakumar himself?
Furthermore, Rev Jeyakumar talks about Father Jeyanesan attending church maters in North America, an attempt to pull the wool over realities and misleading people in Sri Lanka.
His entire family apart from his wife and him is in Canada and the US and that includes his children, several siblings and their families.
Now that Father Jeyanesan is in Sri Lanka, will he submit to the Jaffna Diocese of the Church of South India all instruments, accounts and funds he collected over a period of ten years in the name of this church?
