Dear Sinhalese:
(June 20, Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka Guardian)I understand that you are upset by us. Indeed, it appears that you are quite upset, even angry.
Today, it is the "barbarism of LTTE terrorism", yesterday it was the Federal party, before that it was the "favouritism of the British". It appears that Tamils, who could achieve equality and who, therefore, could live, upset you.
Indeed, every few years you seem to become upset by us. Your were upset in 1956, in 1958, in 1961 and in 1977 and went on acts of arson, rape, pillage, murder and plain barbarity and we were scornfully asked to go to the Federal party for help.
Of course, dear Sinhalese, long before there was a Tamil tiger, we the Tamil people - upset you. And we go back a long way in the history of Sinhala upset. We upset the "Great" Sinhala King Dutugemunu and you still use his "history" to teach your young ones to be more upset by us.
Reds are upset and monks are upset. The radical Sinhalese are upset and the gentle "Sinhalese moderates" are upset. We upset the Sinhala Hamudawa who massacred tens of thousands of us; we upset the Sinhala police who, collaborated with rioters and killed, burnt and slaughtered untold numbers of us.
And it is because we became so upset over upsetting you, dear Sinhalese, that we decided to leave you - in a manner of speaking - and establish a Tamil state. The reasoning was that living in close contact with you, as resident-strangers, we upset you, irritate you and disturb you. What better notion, then, than to leave you (and thus love you) - and have you love us and so, we decided to come home - home to the same land we were driven to in 1983.
You stood by when Sinhala police massacred attendees at an International Tamil Cultural event in Jaffna.
You contributed and stood by in 1983 genocide, wildly cheered by wild mobs in every Sinhala town and city in your land.

And since we know that the Sinhalese dream daily of our extinction, we will do everything possible to remain alive in our own homeland. If that bothers you, dear Sinhalese, well ? - think of how many times in the past you bothered us.
In any event, dear Sinhalese, if you are bothered by us, here is one Tamil in Eelam who could not care less and, frankly doesn't give a damn !

We do wellcome you with open hearts and arms. We really do. Just have a look at the composition of any majour city in Sri Lanka. People of all type live in harmony. Colomb, Kandy, Galle Matara ... everywhere in Sri Lanka Tamils and Muslims live in harmony with Sinhalese. Now can you say the same for Jafna, Killinochchi, Mallavi ..... See, my brother, you really need to open your eyes and see through the web of lies those terrorists have woven.
People live below Wavniya do feel your predicament. We do contribute through taxes to pay for your food and medicine. During the Tsunami, while the so called liberators of Tamils, the LTTE is busy smugling small planes and guns under the guise of aid, we were sending you food, water, cloths and other basic needs. That, my brother, is the manifestation of the bond between us during these hard days.
Be patient. The day you will be freed from the terror of the LTTE is near. Believe me that day will come. I am looking forward to that day to embrace you as we did with your relatives in the east.

Dear Friend, I went to school in Colombo and had no barriers between tamil, muslim or christian firends. I have been to Jaffna twice in my childhood and they treated my family well and welcomed us warmly during Tamil/Singhalese new year in 1979. My father's best friend was a Tamil lawwyer. If you look at Colombo 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 subdivisions, the predominant population is non-sinhalese. Especially Mattakkuliya, Kotahena, Wellawatta, Bambalapitiya, are mostly Tamil and muslim areas, who harmoniously live with the Sinhalese brethren. Have you ever been to the Sea Street (Chettiar Paddaikku) which has gold jewellary shops ALL owned by Tamils..
Even in the up country, look at the tea plantations and other Tamil/muslim communities like Kandy, Gampola.... Also in the southr coastal areas, like Hambabtota, Wadduwa, Beruwala, Galle, Matara where muslims live in harmony with Sinhala. Did anyone tell you this or did you even know this?
1983 riots wer manifestations of lies and hidden agenda of politically motivated violence. All sinhalese regret this ever happened. If the incumbent government did not hide the fact of several innocent Sinhalese getting massacared in Dollar and Kent farms and many gurading soldiers got killed at the time, this would no have happened. It was a shock to majority Sinhalese that Tamils living under the disguise of "harmonious living" had engineered killing Sinhalese. JVP and racist oriented political elements took advantage of these incidents to cause the riots. Little is said about most Sinhalese who harbored and fed the innocent Tamil neighbors/victims during this sad time. Most of these hosts got death threats for doing so... did you know that?
Arantalawa and Dimbulagala Buddhist Monesaries massacre of hundreds of innocent Buddhst monks etc., Anuradhapura, Kandy Temple, Central Bank - Colombo, Telecom HQ in Colombo, Parliament road attack, many, countless other suicide attacks in densely populated areas... did you forget these?
Then you killed your own blood: One of the most outstanding statesmen of Sri Lanka, Mr Lakshman Kadirgamar, Doraiappa, Amirtalingam, Neelan Tiruchelvam, Jaffna Mayors (many of them) were all victims of you own weapons and hands.
Dear Brothers/Sisters, come to south and see for yourselves. Sinhalese are very welcoming, courteous, peace-loving, warm-hearted and very, very tolerant people. Come see us once and ou will never leave back to Vanni. That's what happened to millions who tried it before you.

Where is this dude when the government killed Sinhalese by 1000s. I passed burning dead body’s everyday to the school. Smelled like BBQ beef. Most of the dead bodies belonged to people we knew very closely or relatives. It is now very good sight to see Dogs and alligators eating their burning genitalia.

Are you sure you are writing this nonsense from the Vanni fairyland (or hell !!) created by your great emancipator Prabhakaran? You are kidding me. I am sure you must be either residing in a western country leading an affluent life ( or a successful Tamil businessman living in southern Sri Lanka) engaged in illegal fund collecting and sending to Prabhakaran to carry out his murderous campaign against all Sri Lankan citizens living in areas outside Vanni.
More than 50% of the Tamil population in Sri Lanka lives happily among Sinhalese and Muslims in the areas outside Vanni. I would strongly recommend that you make an earnest appeal from your fellow Tamil citizens who live their, move to Vanni “fairyland”. Would they make the move? I doubt very much. as a matter of fact, given the right opportunity I am sure most of the people living as virtual prisoners in the Vanni area would move to southern areas in Sri Lanka to escape from the ruthless murderer Prabhakaran.
