(June 06, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) At least 21 persons were killed (13 males and 8 females) and over 50 persons were injured in the explosion that went off inside a bus on the Katubedda - Piliyandala (Route No:255)bus route close to the 'Shilabimbaramya" temple today morning, police said.At least 30 people have been brought to the Kalubowila hospital and more people are being brought in.
The bus (29 SRI 1895) was plying on the Kottawa - Mt. Lavinia road. The Explosion has taken place close to the Katubedda University. - Sri Lanka Guardian
