Seven year old Tamil School Boy abducted

(May 28, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Seven year old Subasiraveen Ravindrakumar a Grade-two student at Vivekananda College has gone missing after the school hours near the school premises. Vivekananda is the state run national Tamil popular school situated in Kotahena, Colombo’s northern area.

Eye witnesses say that young boy was waiting for the usual Trishaw vehicle to go home outside the school. As the usual Trishaw had not arrived a man had persuaded the boy into another waiting Trishaw and taken away.

Mrs. Anusha Ravindrakumar and Mr. Nalliah Umashankar mother and uncle of the child respectively have made complaints at Civil Monitoring Commission at Colombo district’s parliamentarian Mano Ganesan’s office and Kotahena police station. The family resides at #189/3/6 Maha Vidyalaya Mawatha Colombo 13 location in very close proximity to the school. - Sri Lanka Guardian
