(May 29, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) International oil prices were pegged at $129.99 per barrel on Thursday, slightly lower than $130.09 per barrel for Brent on Monday, the Central Bank said. Prices under the OPEC basket also fell to $123.05 per barrel from $126.37 in the same period. Among refined products, the Bank quoted the Singapore market as selling petrol at $133.60 per barrel on Thursday against $136 on Monday, diesel at $163.93 against $171.7 and kerosene at $165.58 against $172.7.
The Bank, quoting rates from Reuters News Agency, said this information was being disseminated ‘in order to make the public aware about the current oil prices in the world market.’ It said oil prices in the world market could change frequently during the day. - Sri Lanka Guardian
