(April 21, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) United Kingdom based LTTE front International Association of Tamil Journalists is holding a Media Conference on the theme of ‘Media and Sri Lanka’s conflict: Where is the truth?’ in London on 26 April 2008.Limited publicity is given to the event. Printed notice giving details of the event is circulated within limited LTTE activists.
The organisers have not sent any invitations to anti-LTTE and free thinking media personals. The secret Conference is expected to attack the media freedom in Sri Lanka. It is expected that media freedom within the Tamil community which has been relentlessly undermined by the LTTE is expected to be unscathed in the conference. It is also expected that media men reportedly killed by the LTTE will not be condemned and its vulgar and terror web media activists are expected to receive standing ovation at the conference.
