(April 21, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) A JVP Trincomalee district parliamentarian Jayantha Wijesekara and two other members were released on bail by Colombo Magistrates Courts on short while ago was granted Rs. 5000 cash with two sureties of Rs. 200,000 each.JVP Trincomalee district parliamentarian was remanded after he was produced in the Colombo Magistrates Courts, in connection with the robbery of two vehicles belonging to dissident JVP MPs.
JVP MP Jayantha Wijesekera was produced in Courts after he surrendered to police over allegations of robbery of vehicles belonging to JVP MPs Piyasiri Wijenayake and Achala Jagoda.
The two vehicles were found at the JVP Headquarters in Pelawatte on April 11.
