(April 27, Tehran, Sri Lanka Guardian) The president of Iran will start traveling to Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India on Monday.(Tomorrow)Heading a high-ranking board, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will first trip to Islamabad to held talks with Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf and prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
Ahmadinejad is also scheduled to visit Sri Lanka in a drive to reinforce mutual ties between the two states and sign some cooperation agreements.
The Iranian president and his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa are slated to monitor bilateral ventures in energy field in Uma Oya.
Ahmadinejad will also trip to New Delhi late Tuesday to confer with the Indian president Pratibha Patil and prime minister Manmohan Singh on bilateral interests.
Ahmadinejad's stay in India intends to boost relations between the two states and promote nuclear and energy cooperation.
Peace Pipeline slow-progressing gas project being carried out by Iran, India and Pakistan and mutual investments in civilian nuclear energy plans are among the issues to be discussed by the president during the visit.
Also Indian foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee is going to travel to Iran in coming months to take part in India-Iran joint commission to be held in July.
