Sunanda mudalali of Free Marks for Me (FMM) would probably first faint in front of Fort Station and would have to be revived with a bucket of cold water splashed over his Snow White haired head. After springing up refreshed from the bucket of cold water, he would blabber out his usual teary eyed mumbo jumbo in front of his dear darling “international” white journalist sahibs.

(April 29, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) After months of slow and cautious progress, Sri Lanka announced that the Army has finally managed to capture the Madhu Church. Despite grave provocations from LTTE, the SLA has admirably managed to restrain themselves from causing any damage to the Historical Church. Had there been the slightest scratch to the Church to by SLA shelling, the whole Jim Band of Tiger Propagandists would have danced on one leg and shouted to the world that a “Sinhala Buddhist Army has nuked a Christian Church”.
I can just imagine what some peace merchants would say……. Jehan mudalai of National Piece Circus (NPC) would also naturally haunt in Front of Fort Station, with his long face drooped more that normal and chin almost scraping the pavement at the Fort Station (every time LTTE looses, his face elongates couple of inches).
Of course, can we ever forget our well-fed pal Poikya-soothy mudalai from Center for Putrid Alternatives (CPA), who will burst forth with toad like importance in front of the camera and bray out phrases that even Queen of England will have trouble comprehending?
The whole set of “piece” clowns will probably faint, wake up and faint again in front of cameras if Madhu Church was damaged by SLA. Thanks the extreme caution exercised by the Army, these clowns will now never get the opportunity to sell Madhu Church and earn some Kroners and Marks for a lunch at Barista. Of course, the pavements in the Fort station will miss Jehan mudalais caressing long chin, but then there’s always another time for Jehan to carry a placard for a kroner.
It would now be interesting to see whether the sheep clothed Bishop of Mannar, Rev Rayappu Joseph, would stick to his promise and bring down the statue of our Lady back to Madhu Church without wagging his striped tail for much long . Despite having every opportunity of bringing the statue to Government held areas, and despite all the fervent appeals by the Sri Lankan Christian community, Rev . Rayappu chose to send off the statue to an uncleared area in the North.
Before Rev. Rajapu took heel ( or should I say, his paws), this is what he purred out ““We don’t know whether we can come back and even if we come back Madhu shrine may be turned to rubble. That is the way both sides are fighting. If the Sri Lanka army does not decide to take a different route from Pandivirichchan instead of going through Madhu, there will be total destruction”.
Far from total destruction anticipated by Rev. Rayappu, Madhu Church has been safely liberated from a bunch of terrorists that had no right to be there in the first place. Many a tigers in sheep clothing would have probably been very disappointed to hear that Madhu Church was not turned in to rubble by SLA.
Now it’s Rev. Rayappu’s turn to stick to his promise and bring back the statue to its rightful place.
Sri Lanka will be watching…..

Tamil Terrorism is Hindu fundamentalism at its worst. Some will take up other religions for economic and political gains. They will include other religious symbols as deities for economic and political gains. Catch the fire movement is a good example. When the British had their Empire the Hindu public servants had a Bible at work. But never read it or respected it.
Tamil Terrorists of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) have used Christian Churches many times. The best example is the use of the Uniting Church and the World Council of Churches to achieve their goals. Leading to the killing of 13 unarmed soldiers in Jaffna in 1983 they used these two Churches to propagate that they were victims when in fact they were the most privileged minority in anywhere in the world.
Main goal of Tamil Terrorism is to send Tamil Hindus to the West. In this regard they succeeded in 1983 They kill innocent non-Tamil civilians in Ceylon to provoke them, so that when Ceylonese retaliate they claim that they are being Holocaust iced and seek refuge in the west. They succeeded in 1983 with the help of the World Churches 1983 Congress held in Canada.
Now with left governments in Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand they might succeed again. Of course USA in the waiting, but I think this time the millions of dollars, contributions to western politicians made by Tamils and other Hindus may not be fruitful. But then the Australian Labour Party’s first action when they scraped in was to let 82 Tamil refugee men to stay in Australia. While the west believes that Islamic suicide bombers end up in heaven with 18 virgins, they will never believe that Tamil Terrorist suicide bomber’s close relatives end up in the West with all expenses paid. The virgins follow later with massive dowries.
