(March 27, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) It is only last week the JVP leader Somawansa vehemently insisted that the Govt. should disarm the Pillayan group (TMVP).
But, now Wimal Weerawansa , Parliamentary Group leader of the same party says that the TMVP should not be disarmed ,blatantly contradicting the earlier stand of the leadership. He also called into question the bona fides of those who are insisting on the disarming of the TMVP. May be both are ‘Wansas’ contradicting each other and both are famous for their infamous double deals cheating on the people but, the current question at issue is whether the time has come now for one to double cross the other. ?
This double approach of the JVP is understandable in the backdrop of their characteristic double deals, double tongue and double face which they have always taken advantage of to the detriment of the people and the country when crucial decisions are to be taken in the country’s interests. - Sri Lanka Guardian
