(February 07, Mumbai, Sri Lanka Guardian) Noted Tamil actor Kunal (27) was found dead at his residence in Andheri, Mumbai, this morning. The actor is said to have committed suicide. Lack of opportunities in Tamil cinema is reportedly the reason for the actor taking the extreme step.Kunal made his debut in Tamil cinema with Kadhalar Dhinam directed by Kadhir. The film featured popular Bollywood actor Sonali Bendrae opposite him.
However, the movie received a lukewarm response at the box-office. Also Kunal's subsequent movies bombed at the box office. Though he was considered a jinxed actor, he managed to find offers coming his way.
He acted in films including Engae Enadhu Kavidhai, Parvai Ondrae Pothumae, Punnagai Desam, Varushamellam Vasantham, Devadhaiyay Kandein, Arputham and Thirudiya Idhayathai.
Sources close to his family said that the actor was found depressed for the past few days. His body has been sent for post-mortem.
