(February 19, Islamabad, Sri Lanka Guardian) Senior figures of party close to President Musharraf defeated in Pakistan polls.The progressive results from various National Assembly constituencies in Sindh and Punjab shows that up till now PML-N’s candidates are taking lead in Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sarghodha, Qasur, Wazirabad, Faisalabad and Gujranwala. PPP’s candidates are taking lead in Interior Sindh in cities like Kashmoor, Badin, Larkana, Hyderabad, Nawabshah and various others.
In Karachi city MQM is taking lead, except in the constituency of Dr. Farooq Sattar, where PPP’s candidate is taking lead, while Dr. Farooq is funnily enough whining about rigging. (19/02/2008 at 2.00 am)
