(February 03, Kerala, Sri Lanka Guardian) With the growing concern over the LTTE frequntly using Indian waters to infilterate southern part of our country, reports now indicate that the wife of the LTTE chief -- Prabhakaran -- has been spotted in Kerala.
Indian based Television Channel the Times Now has accessed reports that LTTE Chief Prabhakaran's wife -- Mathivathani's Erambu -- might have landed in Malappuram district in Kerala. Kerala police have confirmed that they have started investigations after receiving the reports that she along with two others entered the state.
Intelligence officials have told the TV channel that there is a growing fear that Kerala state may be used by the LTTE for their clandestine operations.
Earlier reports suggested Mathivathani's presence in Rameshwaram. Before her reported southern soujourn, Mathivathani and her children have been in reportedly hiding in Australia.
