(February 03, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) At least Ten persons were killed and over 95 people have been injured in the bomb blast in Fort, which is believed to have been triggered by a female suicide bomber, according to our Colombo Correspondent quoted security sources.
An explosion has occurred inside the Colombo Fort railway station a arounf 2.05 pm. According to available information the explosion has taken place near the 3rd platform.A train bound to Ambepussa has also been damaged in the incident.
Casualties are being admitted to the General hospital in Colombo.
Meanwhile, all trains to Island wide from Colombo fort railway station have been temporarily suspended, Shantha Jayalath, head of Colombo-Fort railway station told the Sri Lanka Guardian.
