The official addresses of the ENDLF according their website is 6/7, Poornima Appartment, United India Colony, Second Main Road, Kodambakkam, Chennai - 600 024. Their London office is situated at 37, Whittington Way, PINNER HA5 5JS, U.K.ENDLF which does not have an operational base in Sri Lanka is domiciled in Bangalore and is said to be running a Tamil school for the Tamil refugee children. ENDLF is lead by Gnanasegaram Easwaran known as Paranthan Rajan. He was a former member of the Peoples Liberation Organisation of Tamil Eelam (PLOTE). Before joining the PLOTE, he is said to have headed the Paranthan Group which operated in the northern Paranthan area of Sri Lanka.
Supremacy of the LTTE following annihilation of other Tamil militant groups led to ENDLF operatives fleeing to India. A group consisting of handful of ENDLF men found Chennai and Bangalore their operational centres. The group was involved in accommodating Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan known as Karuna in India following his breakaway from the LTTE, which later led to acrimonious break down of relationship between the ENDLF and Karuna. Before their conflicts ENDLF established its base in the East of Sri Lanka with the help of Karuna. Due to their anti-social activities, they were soon driven out from their their by Karuna’s men two years ago.
ENDLF is the only other group that has not abandoned the claim for a separate state of Tamil Eelam. Their animosity towards Karuna Group and their perceived position of fighting to achieve a separate state of Tamil Eelam at whatever cost has proved them a valuable source for the LTTE.
As part of the understanding said to have been reached with the LTTE, the ENDLF has taken on the terror and gutter campaign work for the LTTE. They are now running a gutter Tamil website from Bangalore identical to the now defunct nitharsanam.com of the LTTE. Articles terrorising Tamil democratic activists critical of the LTTE are being published as part of the harassment campaign like the former nitharsanam.com. Most of these articles are then reproduced in the LTTE Tamil websites sourcing the ENDLF website.
Sources close to the ENDLF in London said even arrangements were made for the London operative of the ENDLF to meet the LTTE leadership in Vanni. This did not succeed due to on going war situation there.
The ELDLF is accused of having carried out execution style murders and serious anti social activities in India. It is also claimed that they are giving helping hand to the LTTE to operate in Tamil Nadu. The activities of the LTTE in Tamil Nadu have come under government scrutiny recently leading to some members of the LTTE being arrested by the authorities.
