(December, 03, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Sri Lankan Coordinating Committee (SLCC), the umbrella organisation of all Sri Lankan Associations in Qatar, has launched the Sri Lankan Business Council (SLBC).
The inauguration ceremony at the Sri Lankan embassy was attended by community members and businessmen. The SLCC functions under the aegis of the embassy with Ambassador S.B Atugoda as patron.
Presiding over the launch ceremony, Ambassador appealed to the community to work together to developed and expand business ties between Qatar and Sri Lanka. The MoU between Qatar and Sri Lanka to promote business in the construction sector is expected to generate many benefits to all parties concerned.
A trade delegation from Sri Lanka had recently held constructive talks with the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry on strengthening ties between the two countries.
