(December, 12, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) President Mahinda Rajapakse has departed for United Kingdom to attend the young officers formally pass out of Dartmouth's Britannia Royal Naval College, said the sources.
President Rajapakse will be taking the salute as young officers formally pass out of Dartmouth's Britannia Royal Naval College on Thursday.President Rajapakse will watch as his own son Yoshitha joins the parade to mark the end of a year's tough training at the world famous naval college.
The president will inspect a total of 301 young officers who will parade outside the main college building for the traditional passing out ceremony.
His son will be among 47 who will be ending their training and another 97 who have just joined the college.
President Rajapakse departed in the evening of Today aboard a special flight of the state owned airline, Mihin Lanka, presidential officials said.
