(December, 23, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) is boiling over with internal trouble after it was discovered that it is a member of the JHU who has given the name of Kokila Gunawardena presently domiciled in Europe and a frontline activist of the Sinhala Veera Vidhana (SVV), to be used in the fake passport to Col. Karuna Amman after a dispute with Kokila. SVV is an affiliate of the JHU.

The British Crown prosecution service has initiated a serious probe into Karuna Amman, a former LTTE leader’s war crimes and human rights abuses, the raging diplomatic controversy over the alleged Govt.’s backing for Karuna to make illegal entry into U.K. on a spurious passport about a month ago continues.
In spite of denials by the Govt. that the Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner in London dodged summons, the British High Commissioner First Secretary refused to comment.
It is alleged that S.L. foreign Ministry had helped Karuna to obtain the fake Passport.
