Another Govt. Military purchase and another scam?

(December, 08, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Govt. appointed Lanka logistics (Pvt.) Ltd; loudly claiming that this move was to prevent rampant bribery and corruption in military purchases and to save country’s money by keeping away third parties getting involved.

Lo! What has happened now, a worse scam has been discovered!

According to Defence Ministry sources, the team led by Foreign secretary Kohona to the Czech republic has discovered that a third party Kumara Rajapakse, allegedly a schoolmate of President’s brothers Basil and Gotabaya is the indispensable third party if this deal is to be concluded.

Now, Czech weapons manufacturers are in Sri Lanka and are negotiating with Cosmic Lanka Technologies (Pvt) Ltd’ whose head is Kumara Rajapakse.

Similarly, military purchases are being made through third parties from China too, blatantly and brazenly violating all regulations, so loudly the Rajapakse brothersprofessedly wished to adhere to through new rules it introduced.

Kumara Perera and Senaratne are the local agents for the Chinese conglomerate Norinco What a novel method introduced by the Govt. to save billions of rupees of people’s money!
