3 years after Tsunami – Thousand of Victims are still without a proper shelter

(December, 25, Colombo, Sri Lana Guardian) Owing to lack of diligence and improper planning of the Government authorities, many thousands of Tsunami victims are still without a proper shelter. They are still in makeshift camps even after 3 years of Tsunami disaster!
Worse than the Tsunami tragedy is the plight created for the victims by improper distribution of houses and lopsided attention procedures adopted by the Govt.?

To some victims two houses had been given while many others are struggling even without a proper roof over their heads.

But, in the President’s electorate, Hambantota, 6391 houses have been built when the actual requirement is only 3193. Consequently, those not directly affected are enjoying, while those absolutely devastated are still suffering.
