(November, 15, Sri Lanka Guardian) Sources close to government backed 'Asian Tribune' editor, Kanapathipillai Thabirajah Rajasingham who is running the pro-government web newspaper (from somewhere in hiding in Sweden) confirm that he is asking his friends to add favourable comments to his article in the Asian Tribune to scandalise the Sunday Leader newspaper.K. T. Rajasingam desperately called the President Rajapaksa following Sunday Leader revelation about his deal with the government send Col Karuna to the UK to get the backing to write about the Sunday Leader as part of his deal with the government discussed in Geneva in June 2007. The sources confirmed, the President has shown the green light to the editor promising even financial support to fight the Sunday Leader legally.
