(November, 05, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Vinayagamurthi Muralidaran alias Col. Karuna Amman, a LTTE defector and now with the Government was reportedly arrested in London on 2nd Nov. for traveling under a forged passport, according to reliable political sources in Sri Lanka.According to opposition party in Sri Lanka “, the question raised from all quarters is who helped Karuna to leave the shores of Sri Lanka, and how he obtained a bogus passport?”
“Human smuggling and forgery of Travel documents are high treason and criminal offences .Will the Govt. take full responsibility to take legal action duly?”
Meanwhile top level diplomatic source says, “the R&AW (Research and Analysis Wing) a premier external intelligence wing covert support to Karuna, every move of the high level politicians in India will be keenly watched on case of Karuna.”
“Even few Karuna’s cadres are staying in India with the government high security alert,” the source added.
However, “pro LTTE net work in London spent million of sterling pounds for urge to the British Government and other international organisations to take action against Karuna,” he told the Sri Lanka Guardian.
