(October, 15, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) The ousted Chairman Emdon Seevaratnam of the LTTE front Sivayogam Trust is confirmed to be acting as shadow resident manager of the temples run by the Charity. The Charity Commission intervened in the affairs of Sivayogam Charity on the grounds it was involved in the funding of proscribed Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). Emdon Seevaratnam is also reported to have exported ali-ball bearings to the LTTE in Vanni to make bombs.

The entire board of trustees who are family members of Emdon Seevaratnam were removed from the board of Sivagogam Trust but, his brother Nagendram Karunanithy was allowed to continue to function as employee of the temple in Tooting.

Sivayogam Charity runs Shree Muthu Mari Amman temple in Tooting and Shree Nadarajar temple in Wembley. Devotees attending the temple in Tooting say Emdon Seevaratnam is permanently resident there and is occupying a room by ousting a priest. Sources also confirmed he is managing the affairs of both the temples on a daily basis and the present Trustees are playing subservient role to him.
