Lanka frowned upon by the World: Mangala Samaraweera.

(October, 12, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Rajapakse Administration’s habit of describing any individual or Organisation (local or Foreign) which exposes the misdeeds or criticises it, as a Terrorist or a traitor, has led to Sri Lanka being isolated by the World. This was made very plain and clear by the cold shoulder given to the President and Foreign Minister Bogollagama when they attended the UN General Assembly, said Mangala Samaraweera., former Foreign Minister and SLFP (M) convener.

The Govt.’s claim that it can solve its internal problems is a fanciful theory.

He also accused the Govt. of politicising every Dept. of the State; the I.G.P., the C.I.D.,
the Terrorists Investigations Division and the Attorney General’s Dept. are subservient dummies of the President, he alleged.
